Trophic structure of fish assemblages in the Eastern English Channel, the Bay of Biscay and the Gulf of Lions
This dataset gathers data used to infer the trophic structure and functioning of fish assemblages in the Eastern English Channel, the Bay of Biscay and the Gulf of Lions :
- Biomass data, resulting from accoustic monitoring for pelagic species, or bottom trawling for demersal species, after extrapolation based on stratification scheme
- Individual C and N isotopic ratios, length and mass, for all individuals considered
- Individual energetic density values

- This study was funded by the French Ministry for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy (MEDDE). We are grateful to the technical and scientific crews of R/Vs “Thalassa” and “L’Europe” for their work during all surveys, to all technical staff who dissected fishes and prepared samples for isotopic analyses, to the team of the Plateforme de Spectrométrie Isotopique (LIENSs, Univ. de La Rochelle), who performed isotopic analyses, and to several colleagues for fruitful discussions about this project (A. Brind’Amour, C. Dupuy, G. Lassalle, C. Giraldo, R. Girardin, M. Travers Trolet.) P. Cresson was supported by the CPER 2014-2020 MARCO, funded by the French government, the Region Haut de France and Ifremer.
